Electric cable radiant heat systems are ideal for small areas and
small renovations where floor height cannot be raised. The cables
can be embedded in a mortar bed and tile or stone laid directly over
them.
Hydronic radiant heat systems are beneficial in large projects or
when flooring other than tile and stone will be used. It can also
be used when an existing radiator or baseboard system is in place.
There are more options with hydronic systems than with electric systems
and they are more effective as primary heating systems.
